DNS Services

Access to Chinese NS/DNS services was key to achieving the fastest access to the Chinese internet for overseas businesses, as well as the fastest corrections to the Chinese internet (under 40ms to major Chinese cities).

The Chinese NS/DNS services are available only for Domain Names purchased in China. Access to China through its Chinese operation allows an overseas company to purchase a domain name in Chinese.

Given that Chinese NS/DNS services are available only for domains purchased in China, we offer three options.

• Transfer an existing Domain to China. This gives access to Chinese NS/DNS services. At any time, a domain can be transferred out of China, except for Chinese TLDs (.cn, co.com, etc.). Chinese TLDs can only be transferred within China.
• Third party NS/DNS hosting outside China. Not recommended; available to customers who wish this option. This option will give a longer response DNS time in China, leading.
• Asia NS/DNS service located in Hong Kong and mainland China (not part of the Chinese NS/DNS service). While the DNS records record response time is good in China (under 40ms), the overall response time is slowed by the overseas lookup time for the Domain Name location (100ms to 300ms). This service was created for:

(1) Domain names that cannot be transferred in China.

(2) Sub domains where the domain name cannot be transferred in China need to be outside China.
